Hopefully not. We just extrapolated your data on burn rate. Our engines are similar. But we have not flown yet. Still waiting on the propeller and gearbox to arrive.

To say your results are impressive is the understatement of the century.

Thank you for the kind words.

Extrapolating full-throttle dyno run bsfc to cruise settings at altitude can be quite inaccurate. Perhaps you could spend time looking into piston engine bsfc theory and how bsfc is influenced by many variables such as engine design, % power production, etc. Lots of info out there on this subject.

Everything up to now, including all of our performance numbers are pure speculation, as our LS376/480 has never flown. We are trying to get good data for planning purposes. But as you stated, the airplane is a good dyno, and will tell us everything we need to know. And soon!

Just hope we can get good cruise TAS numbers, and not burn more than 14 gph. We will cruise in the low teens for fuel efficiency.

Jeff - what made you switch to the short stack header exhaust? Looks cool, sounds good. We had no choice as we are building a replica P-51.

Just went to Attitude Group site...nothing there about the sale of the P85 and business, in fact looks like he's advertising for new partners. Anyone know what's going on there? Jeff?
