Hello everyone. My name is Wayne Clevinger, from Rogersville, Tn. I am new to ultralights and experimental aircraft. I recently purchased an older Challenger 1 that is a basket case to restore, and hopefully to fly after the restoration. The engine with the aircraft is an older model Rotax 477 with an electric starter. My problem is the starter is missing some pieces that are no longer available. Can anyone tell me if I can remove this old starter and its cover and replace it with a pull starter?

Thanks in advance,
Wayne C.
