Hi everyone, I just took possession of a Piel CP605 Super Diamant. It is about 85% complete (covered and painted, but no engine, electronics, etc).

Been doing a lot of research and am pretty nervous about taking over the project but am very excited. A lot of small tasks are still required: building leading edge wing tanks, wing to body fairings, h-stab to body fairings, brakes, finding and possibly rebuilding and engine, etc.

I know the Emeraude was quite a popular airplane but there sure isn't much information out there on the Diamant. I will be snooping around here and probably asking lots of questions (after exhausting the search function of course).

Looking forward to spending time on here.

Welcome to the forum!

No problem taking over a partially built project as long as you can inspect the existing work thoroughly, and the Piel designs are nice looking planes.

Bruce :)

Hi Rob, I'm a new member from Regina working on the EEA 154 build of Zenith 701. Your Piel CP605 Super Diamant looks like an interesting project. Have you been continuing work on it?
