My name is Traves Coppock, from Green Bay Wisconsin

First time home builder, I purchased a partially built Flaglor scooter project from an auction, and am looking forward to reading others build experiences and asking questions

Hello Traves and welcome to HBA. I live a couple states away and building a Taylor mono plane as you can check out members project log on this site under Kr-2 Taylormono. I have a complete new set of Flaglor Scooter prints so if any aid in that area is needed please feel free to pm me. Your project looks to be well on its way to the sky so have fun and keep us posted. Don J

Don, thank you! My scooter is more complete than the photo shows. And also got lucky enough to find the updated plans to go with it as well as all the metal parts to boot!

Welcome to HBA! Very cool project! I like the ugly-duckling aspects of the Scooter, and I'm looking forward to updates on your build log.

There was a thread here on HBA a couple of years ago, where a member was flying an already-completed aircraft, and was fiddling with the thrust angle.

I have seen that the Great Plains VW site has contact info for plans...any idea if that is still current? (I obviously haven't tried yet, myself.)

I read that thread, a lot of info about CG and TA.

I'm not sure if the plans are still available from them, but my plans set came from rotor wings in TX in 2003 from the invoice

New pics of what I bought will be up on my build log in moments!

Welcome! While my screen name says Marshfield, I live down in Milwaukee area these days. My brother in law lives in Ashwaubenon a couple of blocks from Lambeau. Small world. :)

Welcome Traves. Like Chris I'm in Milwaukee with a brother-in-law near Lambeau, but that doesn't matter. Ken Flaglor was local and I used to seem him around quite a bit. Unfortunately he passed a few months ago, but his widow still has all his stuff and there are some locals who were pretty close to him, so if there is anything you might need (plans etc) I can put you in touch. Good luck with the build.

Thank you sir! I will be sending you a PM here on the forum about contacting Mr Flaglors Widow for any potential information she may still have!
