I was planning on going with the popular options for custom seats in my RV-8. But, I hate the idea of either stepping all over custom upholstery to get in and out, or having to spoil the look with towels or cheap seat covers. So I was thinking, what about just having the seats upholstered in neoprene?

From what I've read online, I believe the modern neoprene used in slip-on style automotive seat covers may be flame retardant and non-toxic. So, why not just have a set of seat cushions upholstered in the stuff. That way, I don't have to have "slip" covers bunching up under my ass, or have to put down towels to protect expensive leather.
