Not sure if you are trying for very low drag,
What I am trying to do is to convert this airplane into pleasant to fly machine. Nobody could explain to me where elevator vibration was coming from. I was simply assuming that that was result of horizontal tail working in all kinds of separation from fuselage. So, I was trying to clean up airflow.


What we know today is that 120 mm tail tube is simply too small to handle moment from 100 HP engine and CG spread from 21-36.6% MAC. Tail is flexing and jumping in flight and driving you crazy.

What about going up a size in tube wall thickness?
I mean that sounds like engineering the world over.
What I have learned recently that wall thickness upsizing not going to do us any good, except more weight. Bump it up to 150 mm diameter versus 120 mm much better but way to heavy. If I can make tapered tube from 200 mm down to 80 mm or so by horizontal tail.....

Plan is to build new carbon tail, bigger and better, that will be answer to all problems.
