Good Evening Group:
I recently made the following trip in my Mustang II, N657HR:
The trip consisted of ten legs as follows:
9D4 TO KPBX 337 NM KPBX TO KMSL 297 NM COMPLETED ON MAY 9, 2011
KMSL TO M79 249 NM M79 TO KDWH 260 NM COMPLETED ON MAY 10, 2011
KDWH TO KOZA 309 NM KOZA TO T27 272 NM T27 TO KCGZ 311 NM KCGZ TO KBLH 153 NM COMPLETED ON MAY 13, 2011
KBLH TO KUDD 78 NM KUDD TO KCPM 103 NM COMPLETED ON MAY 14, 2011
A total of 2369 nm were flown with the longest day, May 13, 2011 having 1045 nm; the first day consisted of 634nm, and the second day into KDWH consisted of 509 nm; our last day into Compton Field had 181 nm.
The trip went over the following fixes, and airports:
9D4 > W35 > 48I > KPBX > W38 > KSRB > kSYI > KMSL COMPLETED ON MAY 9, 2011
KMSL > M44 > 5A6 > 1M2 > 0M8 > M79 > F88 > T24 > 00R > KDWH COMPLETED ON MAY 19, 2011
KDWH > 3T5 > KHYI > KERV > KJCT > KOZA > KFST > KVHN > T27 > KLRU > KDMN > KLSB > JOGHY > P33 >WOGIX > E77 > KCGZ > KBLH COMPLETED ON MAY 13, 2011
KBLH > L77 > KUDD > JETOX > KBNG > KRIV > WUXEB > VPLSC > KFUL > TIDOY > KCPM COMPLETED MAY 14, 2011
The trip was a flight of a lifetime, and a very special one for me; for it was in fact the last flight I would take in my home-built MII. I sold the aircraft last month to a fellow pilot from Old Bar, Australia, and as promised delivered it to Compton Field, KCPM in California. While the build was by far the most enjoyable thing, I have ever done for myself, flying 7HR for 301 hours was a dream.
I have been dealing with medical issues over the last couple of years due to cancer, and an ongoing issue with my shoulder/arm. That said, I look forward to moving into the ELSA arena, and will do my best this July at Oshkosh to find that project for me.
I've attached a few pictures of the trip; enjoy! Texas is very big!
