I just epoxied my shop floor and just HAD to share it. I must say, it looks pretty nice!

The jig will stand in front of the television.

I need to apply a second coat of epoxy tomorrow. After that, I run pneumatic lines to all the benches!

****, I hope the plane comes out this nice!

    Thank you!

I built the place MYSELF from footings to roof! It delayed the project 2 years (along with career changes) but it gives me a comfortable place to work!

If your RV comes out anything like your shop, you'll have a grand champion on your hands. Very nice!

What type of epoxy is that? Is it designed for the shop floor or was it your own idea. I was just telling my wife yesterday that my dream shop would have some type of rubberized coating over a perfectly level concrete floor. She's designing our dream home so I figured I'd better get my .02 cents in.

NOBODY gets that JEEP! They are going to BURY me in it!

    :gig:

I just LOVE cruising around the airport with the windshield down and visiting people! It is just all fun!

Jake, thanks for the compliment! I know what I want, even if it takes too long to get it!

That epoxy is a Valspar product. It is a two part, sold under a Lowes brand. It applies nicely and LOOKS like it may last a good long time.

Get your shop plans NOW! I got mine from www.cadsmith.com via the web. If you hit the link, you will see my garage featured there.

Well, off to second coat the floor now.

...OH, and one more thing about the epoxy.

I have a terrible allergic reaction to the stuff! I have now broken out in hives!

    ...but the floor looks good!

Hey Capt. J.- I like the tv idea. Now you can play the Vans dvd when you have one of those "moments" we sometimes have - you know, like what the hell was I thinking when I decided to do this? I thought I was doing good with my walkman and a cd of really hair-raising motor music I picked up at osh. Seriously, if I had a shop like that, I'd be shootin my mouth off about it too. Have fun. Looks great. Richard

Oh man that looks sweet. Good job, Capt!

I am currently looking at purchasing a place myself, complete with a work shop:

The pole barn to the North is what I'm after... the actual house is the Center building. To give it scale - the 'driveway' is 1/4 mile long :D

    Negotiations are commencing ....

edit: Hmmm - I loaded a pic instead of a link... couldnt get a direct link to the aerial to work correctly

Here's hoping you get your digs!

Weeeelll..... the front half is already heated with a wood burner, and has concrete.

Thanks... Let me know how that Epoxy holds up, might need to get the same brand as Lowes is the only hardware store out there.

Oylman, Here is a pic of the box.

I bet that it can be had anywhere Valspar is sold. The American Tradition is undoubtedly a Lowe's trade name.
