Probably most here do not have the expertise or experience to evaluate your design....I know I do not.....will miss you.

We haven't lost anything except a bad attitude. Anybody who knows how to design an airplane will already have worked through the things he went over. Did he really expect people here to double check all his work?

Question for the moderators: How does a poster eliminate his posts?

    Just curious, thanks.

Unfortunate. I think lots of people (incl the OP and many folks here) could have learned quite a bit from a productive exchange of ideas. Personalities and ways of conveying information (mine included), together with the challenges of this particular medium sometimes prove too much and trump even the self-interests of those involved.

He came here, started a thread, and announced that people were not allowed to participate in his thread unless they met his criteria and did it his way. Then he posted some calculations, with a “gotcha” to see who would find it and comment on it. Then he got, per his profile posts, “drstress Bored with amateurs”. Then he left, or, more likely, is lurking to see the comments here.

Is it possible to learn from an arrogant poster? Yes, but I prefer to spend my time learning in other ways.

I think some retired or working aircraft professionals in the past perhaps were using this forum partially as a vehicle to get business. They were very polite and informative when dealing with the less fortunate (those that did not have the opportunity to spend their working life in the aircraft industry)......
