So many pretty, Bad, Sweet, and cool planes! Here's my vote, Jim Rust's Whitman W-10 Tailwind. A superbly built example of an old design that is still viable and usefull today, simple, cost effective, good performance. That's my "beauty". Simple, effective.
I took a photo of a Staggerwing Beech on floats on Lake Winnepesaukee in NH about 1964. Never saw another set of floats like them. They may have been custom made or taken from the air racers of the 1930s. That Staggerwing was also bright red.
