Here is an off shoot of the link you posted. Lookslike there is already one in an airplane, although not direct drive. Not sure if it's flown yet. Don't have a minute to run it down. Maybe someone else has some info.

On my current set up (see sig) I made 220 tq and 125 hp @ 3k, with the dyno operator possibly still rolling into the throttle at that point.
Minus a parasitic drivetrain loss of a liberal 18%, you'd see your 150 hp at that RPM. I'm not even sure that it was in PE at that point, lol
