Black aluminium is what we call when a glass or carbon (hence the name) layup is directly derived from an equivalent structure built in aluminium. Easier said, measure thickness and create a layup of same thickness.

Of course this solution will be far from optimum

Any example of an aircraft with fiberglass layup of same thickness?
