There is a Merlin GT project for sale in my area. I have never laid eyes on one and it's about 400 miles from me so it isn't convenient to go look at it. I have a long torso and I don't have enough headroom in most homebuilts and I end up looking at the wingroots even if I don't hit my head.. Does anybody have any experience with a Merlin GT? Can you tell me how much headroom they have and how the visibility would be for a tall person?

The factory also claimed some incredibly low empty weights for the airplane. Does anybody know what a realistic empty weight would be for the airplane?

They also seem to have foam wing ribs. That doesn't give me warm fuzzies but maybe I am just old fashioned. Any personal experience with the structure?
