Mars One - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I never heard of this before but today I saw in the news an interview with two local folks selected to be part of this private founded expedition. What is surprising is the quantity of people (from all over the world) who had volunteered to make a one way trip to mars to become the first settlers of the planet.

I honnestly think that those who have volunteered for the program do not realize what would imply living in such an hostile environment: a healthy pill diet for the rest of their lifes (how do they plan to get fresh fruits to avoid the risk of scurb?), mars gravity +-= 1/3 earth gravity and etc...

It is at least suspiciuos that the people behind the project is not volunteering to be part of the "first settlers".
