Finally went from dreaming to doing - started my homebuilt project. Got the plans for the CA-65 Skyfly a few years ago. This is a scratchbuilt wood airplane from the '60's, somewhere between a Van's RV-9 and an RV-12 in size, configuration and performance. Here are some pictures of what it looks like;

Future pictures will be of my project, if I can get a good camera and way to post them here (it may be a while).

So far this month, I've tested some recycled spruce from a friend (test failed, but was not precise). Also, glued a copy of the full size nose ribs and tail ribs onto hardboard, and I am in the process of making templates according to the method described by member ohioflyer, who is also building a CA-65 (in fact, it is his posts on this forum that finally motivated me to get started). So far I've made templates for the three nose ribs closest to the fuselage on each side. More to come.

Note: The designer has a website where he offers plans for the CA-65 Skyfly, the CA-61 Mini-
Ace (one seat design), and also seperate retractable landing gear plans; http://www.cvjetkovic-aircraft.net/
