Actually BRS for engine out stall probably covers it...It's a cheat compromise to fit pt. 103 rules. Probably not "practical" .
But. Theres a 3rd option.
Osprey tilt rotor style. 2 wingtip and a tail rotor. Like a racing quadcopter.
There's a foamie around here with that setup and micro servos mixing into the controls - does pretty good in forward flight having wings to carry weight.
