Making a firewall

Curious how some of you have built your firewalls. Here is what the plans say, I want to use stainless and I don’t want to form the sides like the drawing.

I pulled out some Pitts S1 drawings. Here is a Pitts firewall. I like this. Stainless sheet with 3/4” aluminum angle. Have any of you formed a curve in this type of extrusion? Looking for tips so I don’t blow through and waste material experimenting.
