My mandolin's intonation needed some attention, so I was reading pages on guitar and mandolin repair. I came across an idea that should transfer to plane building, specifically to wooden planes and wings.

A master guitar builder, whose name I don't recall but will credit when I can, uses powerful neodymium magnets to build clamps. This link is not to the person from whom I first heard about this.
