What's the price tag on those Verner engines?
I know. If I have to ask I can't afford it.
Price of Verner engines is on Scale Birds website. http://scalebirds.com/verner-pricing
They are published on our site. Whether it's affordable, I can't judge that, but it's not the cheapest $-per-HP for sure. But I dare say it's not a bad deal for what you get.
I went directly to the Verner Engines web site and did not see any prices. But I did finally see them on ScaleBirds.com. IIRC, they start at about $7000 for the 3 cylinder? The LB/HP looks inviting, though.
here are a couple of videos

Love that sound.
Always think about a hummelbird with one up front.
Yes, but maybe a bit more streamlined. More like crossing it with a Hawker Tomtit look cowl and the Fury.
isn't streamlined and radial engine an oxymoron?
A bit naturally.
I just like the idea of a speedy gleaming polished alloy airframe with a radial up front. I love the sound and look.
Also I think it is a better engine than a half VW. More expensive though.
Just like a nicely cowled radial looks sexy.
Scalebirds is developing a 55% scale P-36.
