The question of large chord control surfaces has risen in my early design phase. It seems 20-25% C flaps and ailerons are commomn. Sometimes the flaps are a little bigger % C.

Is there any problems with designing a rectangular wing with a 30-35% C aileron/flap trailing edge flaps?
