Help! Has anyone out there any experience attaching floats to a J3 kitten? I have a nice pair of floats from a quicksilver MX, and need to work out their optimum position relative to the aircraft. concerning thrust C/L, lateral stance, and especially fore & aft positioning. The Kitten lands slow and at a high angle of attack. I would like to avoid slapping it down float tails first, but more importantly, any adverse yaw effects in turns,"shooting the arrow feathers first". Some of the hotrod cub guys around here have added stab area to counteract this. Any formulas around, that a tape measure kind of guy could use? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated Patrick.
