I'm thinking of buying a Gardan Minicab built about 40 years ago and hangared all it's life. In the inner Bay Area, hangars are Unobtainium. I'm wondering if there is anything I can do short of recovering to protect the wooden structure under the fabric.

Since it never rains here in the summer, I'm thinking maybe keep it on a tie down at KOAK or KCCR April to November, then pull the wings off and stash it in the corner of a hangar at Vacaville during the winter.

And budget for a recover in 3 years....
