Hi,
I am a french amateur builder from Saint Nazaire (France), I built a couple of years ago a two-seater ULM Jean Pierre Marie "Loiret" http://jpm03loiret.free.fr
Today I think about the design of a microlight single-seater wood and canvas.

I am conquered by the use of Junkers flaperons. Although the wing and flap profiles are different, I have noticed that the geometry chosen for the CH701, Storch, Colomban CriCri, Kitfox, Avidflyer differs from that published in the NACA articles from the 1930s to the 40s (position of the flap and points of articulation ). I have not found any recent articles that could explain these differences.
Do you have any publications or explanations to understand the value of these changes?
Thank you very much
Best regards
Dominique Aubert
