Issues with Pylon mounted pod & boom design

I like the simplicity & light weight of pod and boom aircraft like Kolb. A little modification gets you to DAR solo; a bit more gets you Elitar Sigma. To improve & simplify further why not build the entire aircraft around a boom and hang a passenger pod 30" below using a pylon giving you ample prop clearance. Design the pod optimally for aerodynamics, crash-worthiness, and landing gear attachment (no structural loads). The Boom doesn’t need to be a heavy Aluminum tube either (look at EMG6boom).

Basically, increase the height of pylon in Elitar Sigma, add long, high AR cantilever wings that works for 50-100HP powerplant for a 2 seat LSA/motorglider. Maybe build a sailplane with no FWF and laminar flow on wings!
