Is it wise to invert rudder direction?
As I prefer a steerable nose-wheel even on a part103, the normal setup for rudder commands has a weight and complexity penalty compared to a setup with inverted rudder direction.
OK, the pilot can adapt these inverted rudder pedals but if you fly with other airplanes too, it can be a bit tricky no?
On the other hand, such an inverted rudder setup is like steering a bike, riding a horse and even driving your car. Pull left and you go left.
Only an airplane does the opposite – pull left (push right) and you go right. [/FONT]
