I have that lovely little book, also. The illustrations are fantastic! From what Matthew said on this forum, and elsewhere, I don't think this particular aircraft was ever completed.

There are youtube videos of some large scale models flying, apart from the wing looking a bit small and the windscreen a bit high it looks like a very practical candidate for “Volksplane 2020”, the construction is very simple with the use of ply and foam.
If you want to see the videos of the models, google David Livesey D.L.5

I have been bumped! ;-) It was a very interesting design with a lot of features that have been discussed in the forum: wood version of an Ercoupe wing, composite landing gear, etc.). Despite the spelling "Livesay" in the that great little book (The Wooden Wonder: A Short History of the Wooden Aeroplane by James G. Robins, Adelaide: Rigby, 1975) ), most sources spell his name "Livesey." Several period articles attached or linked by me or others on this thread over on Secret Projects Forums -- Livesey D.L.5 -- that goes back eleven years! Cheers, Matthew
