I remember one of my former employers talking about watching these betting tested when he was building hangar next to the airstrip they were being tested on. He said he saw them flip over a couple of times and the test pilot/builder climb out swearing up a storm. That was probably 15-20 yrs ago.

Not sure if you can see it in the pics but the 2 seater looks like it's got either a v6 or v8 powerplant and there's a pretty hefty drive shaft going to the main rotor. Almost looks like there was some provision for wings.

Note to mods: Feel free to move this over to the rotorcraft section if appropriate.
