If you were to incorporate or marry part of the structural component of a set of amphibious floats with part of the fuselage structure component of an ultralight aircraft is it reasonable to assume that you could amortize a net gain over the independent weight of the floats and fuselage in an ultralight design?

Floats 60lb allowance, Hull 30lb allowance + 10lb each pontoon(s) (hard to figure out how to incorporate pontoons into structure but … if they are substantially lighter than 10lb allowance then the difference could be useful).
