Trying to include an image in a post using the "insert image" button, no matter what image I pick I get "invalid url". But if I manually use the [ IMG ] tags, no problem.

Try clicking the "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" box to remove the check mark (turns it off) ...

    Insert image.jpg

I think sometimes (or maybe always?) it's hard to get an image URL with https in it to insert properly.

It was related to SSL. Had to do a bit of finagling to get working with SSL. Still a bit wonky but should work until we upgrade to Xenforo. Xenforo caches even remote images so there is no SSL conflict.

    So it is working now?

I wish you were on Xenforo (will come later). Then you can just upload a file, or do a copy and paste into a post. So easy.
