Hyabusa engine with modified crankcase?

    The guys have milled their own crank case and created a v8 Hyabusa engine. They are claiming a dry wight of 200 pounds, and capable of 400hp. They also have an inline 4 version at 200 hp and 150 pounds.

    Take a look HOME PAGE...

    Not saying it will work with aircraft, but it is very interesting.

    i could see this engine doing well in something like a red bull air race type of aircraft.

    I missed the part about the replaceable rear plate, that makes it all the more intriguing. I must admit, I am drooling over the inline 4 version.
