I’m finally getting around to working on my private pilot certificate at fifty. My uncle is a pilot, and so I’ve been getting airplane rides for all my life, and now it’s my turn in the left (and rear) seat. I’m buying into a flying club for a light sport airplane and am looking forward to flying more.

Currently helping my uncle stuff a starter into a piper cub, and have a couple of dream projects. I’d like to build a kit plane like a Vans or Sonex, and I’m fascinated by the notion of electric powered flight. It seems like an electric powered ultralight is getting to be a feasible project based on what I’m seeing.

Looking forward to joining the community!
