I reserved a N number on line and got the letter in about 2 1/2 weeks. Now need to mail in the affidavit and form 8050-1 to register the aircraft with that N number.

My on line confirmation had a caveat and the letter sent out would made it official. Received the letter about 2 weeks ago.

Like me, on to the next step in the dreaded paper work. The next step is the affidavit of ownership that needs to be Notarized, and the Form 8050-1, Certificate of Aircraft Registration. Keep the pink copy. Also make copies of anything you send in to the FAA. When I send in the Certificate of Aircraft Registration, it starts my county tax bill on the airplane. :( Even through its not an airplane until the FAA says it is . Just a collection of parts.
