I finally got my Gazaile2 out of the hangar after 6 months of constant rain here on Australia's east coast. It hasn't been test-flown yet so I'm going back over everything. One thing I noticed was my all-flying horizontal tail is not level, it's 1 degree rotated to the right. I bought the plane as an unfinished project and this part had been finished but I've only just noticed the angle. The original builder did a fine job everywhere else so I'm surprised at this. Correcting it is a big job now she is all faired and painted so I'm
wondering how much of an issue it is.
Will this have a significant effect on her flying characteristics? Who knows, it may even counter some of the right rudder needs. ;)
I've asked Serge Pennec the designer and he says "no problem".tail angle.jpg
