I recently acquired a set of unused plans for a Peterson Sportster. Along with the plans there is a sales brochure for a Heath Parasol model V from Baird Aircraft, then located in Asheville NC.

The Sportster seems to be identical to the Heath in the same way a Cougar is to a Tailwind. From what I can find on the web J.W Peterson built and registered the first Peterson A-1 in Grand rapids Michigan back in 1931 (N11377) powered by a 25 Hp Heath engine.

Can anyone add a bit to the history of this set of plans or the Peterson Sportster in general?
