Hi,
This is driving me nuts...

Raymer, Homebuilder's version, Pg 114

First question:
Calculating the Neutral Point. My first (very basic) question is: From where does one measure the NP? Raymer doesn't seem to say. So you work your way through the formulae, and get a number. Now what? Is this a measurement back from the wing leading edge? This would seem reasonable, but I can't tell.

Second question:
Perhaps this should be first...)
Xwing = location of the quarter chord of the wing MAC. Again, measured from where? The wing LE?

These are basic questions, but the answers seem to be axiomatic sono-one bothers explaining. Or perhaps I missed it.

For example, if my spreadsheet is correct (ie if I put in the correct numbers to begin with) then my Neutral point is .43ft What does this mean?

Question 3:
The Static Margin is given as (Xnp - Xcg)/Cbar

Again, am I to assume that Xcg is the distance back from the wing LE?

Confused...
