Hello,

New here and to VW engines for aircraft use, was seeking some thoughts/advice on path forward. I have a HAPI 60-20m manufactured in 1984, no history. Before I tear it down is it worth it?

- Crankcase has cracks in front flange, repair or replace?
- Crank assuming serviceable, magnaflux/grind or replace
- Prop hub, new to VW no idea what I am looking at
- POSA carb throw away use Zentih?

Don't have unlimited funds is this the best path forward or just buy a new complete engine from Great Plains or Cassler?

Thanks
