I'm thinking of building a low cost flying machine capable of carrying myself at fairly low altitudes and relatively low speeds. My only experience in building was building RC planes or reading construction prints at work. I'm pretty handy though.

You have some pretty knowledgeable folks down in Sanford, along with a nice airport. There was an affordaplane for sale in Sanford, might want to ask around.

Wood and foam, very simple as full scale aircraft go, good reputation over many years.
