I am building my panel and presently have a Garmin GTN650 navigator and looking to buy a G5 and and GMC307/507 autopilot.

The question is that if I use MAPMX over RS232 to connect G5 to GTN650 what information is presented/shared?

I do want the GMC507 to fly coupled precision approaches from the GTN650 and am not sure if I need to add the GAD29B as well. I am assuming I will as ARINC 429 is needed for vertical guidance?.

So the connection will be more like:

However the manual explicitly only shows GTN4XXX/5XX navigators so I am not sure if GAD29B is needed with my GTN650.

Any pireps appreciated!
