Would a G13 or 16 fit well in a Corby Starlet? The plane is designed for direct drive VW, the thrustline would be lower when the motor is centralized on the fuselage and being longer the plane would grow 150mm or so affecting cog.
It's a wooden plane, so Horsepower is will stay safely below 100.
My only reason for considering this motor is weight, VW's without cracked heads are pretty much extinct and subaru is to heavy with its cast iron bearing saddle cast into the alloy block.
These little planes are built lightly and need to be packaged right.
Could the firewall bulkhead be shifted back?
