Just gathering background before I gather extra parts...

The engine I'm going to use is a Lycoming O-290, with a Sonex AeroCarb... The *right* MA3SPA is just too hard to find, and too expensive when found...

On this sort of setup (The carb is pressure sensitive, and uses a fuel-return line like an EFI system) how do you hookup a primer, or do you even need it?

I think I've seen someone drill a hole in one of their intake runner tubes, and route a line to it for 'prime'... But this seems a bit odd, and a great way to flood out a cylinder....

Am I missing something here?
