I can tell you for a fact that you can haul the entire kit in the trunk of a Honda Accord coupe……only need to make the trip 5 times.

Dang it, I landed in SFO a day late and I’m leaving in an hour or two.

Sometimes free is too much to pay for something.
You might be right on that one, especially since getting the wings right is probably one of the more critical parts of living a long life with a BD-5…

More important is keeping it tied down.

Would you not fly one? I’d really like to fly the right one but I wouldn’t hop into just any BD-5.

A free BD-5 is like a free Cessna 310 with no engines, no avionics and flat tires that has been sitting in the grass or 20 years.

Sometimes its really hard to give things away. One time I put a for sale ad in a local trading paper for a VW Baja fiberglass hood . Cost was one 2-liter of RC Cola. Man shows up driving a new expensive car and gave me the 2-liter of RC and said he would be back with his pickup truck and get the VW hood. Never did.

Pops, and the opposite, I wanted an inversion table to help with my back. My chiropractor swore by them. After a bit of looking on Craigslist, I finally found one in Oakland, 35 mile round trip. Set sail on my journey which included several other stops. Got the inversion table. Drove home, parked and unloaded. Walked over to the neighbor and saw his free inversion table. Yup.
