I just came across an article which mentions "flap blow-back". From what I can tell this appears to be an automatic system which partially retracts the flaps if they are extended and VFE is exceeded.

It sounds like a good idea. Is anyone familiar with this system? Do any GA size planes use it or is it exclusive to the Boeing/Airbus end of the market?
