Hello All,

My dad recently purchased a J4 Kitten Project that came with a Rotax 377. He also bought a used Rotax 477 on Ebay as well to get extra parts as well as the exhaust. So now he has 2 engines and wants to get more info on them so he can buy a rebuild kit. One engine he says looks brand new with no carbon on pistons and cross hatching in the cylinder walls but regardless he wants to go through them both. He tried to call Rotax to just ask for the MFG date and they were no help. Would not give him the time of day unless the engine had full logs. If it had full logs it would give an indication of its age and he would not need to call. Anyhow, is there an online resource to punch in serial numbers and find out more about a Rotax engine?
