I appreciate your patience in answering my questions so far, and giving some very useful points to take into consideration. This next one may seem to be a little simplistic, but try as I might I've not seen anything in any of the books I have that gives any useful advice.
As many of you probably know, I've been working on a flying wing design for some time now, and am part way through building a scale model to try out some elements of the design.
One thing I would like to try is having the vertical stab under the longitudinal axis rather than above it.
Does anyone have any insight as to whether or not the aircraft would behave any differently with the vertical stab pointing downwards?
As far as I can see it should make little difference, but I'm acutely aware that there are many little pitfalls awaiting the unwary in aircraft design!
