I have a new altimeter for my airplane. My old altimeter stopped working. When I removed this gauge it was not plumbed or hooked into anything. It just has a hole in the back. I would like to use a filter on this new gauge. Can any type of filter be used? Can I just screw a male end into the gauge and install a fuel type of filter of the plastic housing style? Or is this filter a special filter?
