Hi!
This airplane has been discussed tangentially in another thread. The comments were not very good. In any case the people behind the project have secured the money for certification, and already have some buyers for their future airplane, which is expected to be in the air by 2024. Perhaps the advances in the electric automobile industry will be translated sooner or later into aviation?
The people working in this project seem to have teamed with Embry Riddle University, I do not know if this is a warranty? In any case the engineers behind this would have to, at least, make sure the theory is right before working in a full scale aircraft.
Tecnam is working in a similar concept but their expected range seems more realistic (100Nm) compared to that of Eviation (440Nm).
Any thoughts about it, do you think it is all vaporware?
