Anyone here ever soar Ely , Nv ?
I found out the airport is Ultralight motor glider friendly , and
with a 25:1 glide ; I can see over 100-miles of usable ridge-lift / thermal
soaring to be had . Can a glider pilot confirm please ?
Airport is near 6,200' ASL , and some of the Mt tops are at
11-K ASL ; gonna be Way cooler then Vegas in the summer !!!
And
it's only a 3.5-hr drive from home.
Ely airport , is near center screen.
