I would like to throw this idea out there to see what everyone thinks about it...

1. using my design (or maybe a new one), use an electric "outrunner" type motor to power my ducted fan (5-7 blades@ 7000 rpm, just an idea)
2. High capacity LiFe cells as primary power source
3. use high output solor cells to supplement, not fully power, the drive system
4. also as a added safety feature (really for unexpected encounters with clouds) a small electric generator used to also supplement the drive system.

just some food for thought...let me know what you think!

thanks,
