So hypothetically speaking, would it be possible to take something like, ey I don't know, the Bug 4 ultralight glider and mount twin electric motors powered by a combination of solar power (Mylar covered top wing with light weight flexible solar panels mounted within the wing (is that even a affordable/viable technology yet??:ponder:)) and Li-poly batteries. Or could you possibly use a single motor with twin belted driven props similar to what the wright flyer had? I haven't seen this configuration used since that time period, wonder if there is an actually reason for that?

It would be ideal for it to carry a 200lb pilot (parachute included:nervous:) meaning the power system's weight would have to be minimal. Also, whats the best way to gauge the power of an electric motor to that of a comparable fuel engine? If this is beginning to sound a bit like the e-venture challenger, well, thats where the idea came from:gig::gig::gig:.
