I just noticed that EAA put a lot of their previously-free video content behind a paywall.

This is disappointing. When I first got interested in homebuilding I think I watched every Hints for Homebuilders video they had at the time. I bet others have been introduced to homebuilding the same way.

I think it's a mistake to consider that content a commodity. Perhaps they were thinking it would drive new memberships. They should think about it the other way. I might not have ever become an EAA member had they not put out so much information to show people how cool homebuilding is and how things are done.

You guys know in past threads that I've been something of an apologist for EAA but I'm very disappointed that the HQ guys think of this as something to commoditize rather than considering it to be a gift to share with the world and bring more people into the fold.
